Young people in the Maes Glas area of Dyserth had the opportunity to get involved in team building activities when the Bus Stop Project came to their village.

When the bus pulled up for the sessions in September and October, children and young people in the village had the chance of taking part in fun and informal sessions in the aim of positively engaging with their community.
“The project visited once a week for three weeks and held sessions which looked at anti-social behaviour, being a good neighbour and team building,” said local Police Community Support Officer Rebecca Evans. The PCSO succeeded in gaining a grant from Crimebeat for the free sessions to take place on the blue bus that parked on Maes Glas.
“It was great to see so many children and teenagers from then local community taking part in the sessions which they seemed to really enjoy,” added PCSO Evans. “It was good to see them getting together and working as a team on challenges that were set up for them.”Cafodd pobl ifanc ardal Maes Glas, Dyserth gyfle i gymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau adeiladu tîm pan ddaeth y prosiect Bus Stop i’w pentref yn ddiweddar.
Daeth bws y prosiect i Ddyserth i gynnal sesiynau gyda phlant a phobl ifanc y pentref dros dair wythnos ym mis Medi a mis Hydref a chawsant gyfle i gymryd rhan mewn sesiynau anffurfiol, llawn hwyl gyda’r nod o’u helpu i ymgysylltu’n gadarnhaol gyda’u cymuned.
“Ymwelodd y prosiect unwaith bob wythnos dros dair wythnos a chynhaliwyd sesiynau i edrych ar faterion yn ymwneud ag ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol, bod yn gymydog da a sgiliau adeiladu tîm ” meddai’r Swyddog Cefnogi Cymuned lleol Rebecca Evans. Llwyddodd y SCCH i gael grant gan Ymddiriedolaeth yr Heddlu a’r Gymuned (PACT) ar gyfer y sesiynau rhad ac am ddim ar y bws glas a oedd wedi’i barcio ym Maes Glas.
“Roedd yn wych gweld cymaint o blant a phobl ifanc o’r gymuned leol yn cymryd rhan yn y sesiynau ac yn mwynhau eu hunain” meddai SCCH Evans. “Roedd yn braf eu gweld nhw’n dod at ei gilydd ac yn gweithio fel tîm i ymateb i’r heriau a roddwyd iddyn nhw.”
