High Sheriff visits Ysgol Godre’r Berwyn with the Cyber Crime Team

As the end of the school year approaches some of the academic pressures on Key Stage 4 pupils are lifted and they get to participate in activities that will create lasting memories and that will also develop important skills that they can use throughout their adult life that may not be focused on during standard lessons.

 

North Wales Police Cyber Crime Team are visiting a number of schools across North Wales during this period to share information and guidance with youngsters that will help them to stay safe and secure online. It is very important that they have the knowledge and tools that they need to navigate the internet safely and we are also conscious that many youngsters may be spending more time than ever online over the summer holidays without the support of their teachers at school if anything goes wrong.

 

At the end of the sessions, they also task the youngsters to help their family and friends to stay safe and secure online by sharing some of the things that they’ve learned during our sessions with them.

With the students becoming the teachers even more individuals are able to confidently stay safe and secure while online.
