This project, organised by PCSO Delyth Edwards alongside Gwynedd Youth Services encouraged young people in the local area to participate in a project to bring a positive, colourful mark on their space for the community.
The project provided an activity for young people in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area to do during summer months which can be a long period away from school and daily lives. Many do not go away and spend the majority of the time at home due to family work commitments or financial difficulties.
The project gave the youths the opportunity to take part and be apart of a development and encourage volunteering work. The project will benefit community as the positive colours will spread happiness and quality of life. Updating an area on school grounds will hopefully be a positive behaviour shift for some pupils and they feel a part of the school community. They will respect the area and hopefully behaviours in school will be improved.
Artwork was created and displayed at the school as well as at the local train station.
